The Calgary Health Region is one of 17 regional health authorities
in Alberta and provides health services to the Region. It also provides
Provincial health programs for all of southern Alberta.

Provides homeless animals with shelter, medical attention and a
chance for a better life.
Calgary Public Library
The Calgary Public Library is one of North America's leading public
library systems, with 16 branches located throughout the city. The
library offers its customers books, music CDs, Internet access,
videos, special services for the visually or mobility impaired,
and more. Calgarians visit their library almost six million times
each year, asking more than three million questions and borrowing
almost 12 million items.
Calgary Parks
The City's Parks Business unit is responsible for more than 9,100
hectares of parks, open spaces, and roadway greens, including Nose
Hill Park, one of the largest urban natural green spaces in all
of Canada.
Calgary Police Service
The Calgary Police Service is made up of more than 1,450 police
officers and 580 civilian members. In concert with other agencies
and the citizens of Calgary, the Calgary Police Service strives
to preserve the quality of life in our community by maintaining
Calgary as a safe place to live, work and visit.

Recreation's mandate is to enhance Calgarians' quality of life by
offering accessible recreational opportunities that promote personal
